Cigarette butts are the number one littered item world wide!
Cigarette waste has a high energy potential similar to lignite coal...
It lakes only 24 cigarette butts to charge your cell phone for up to one hour...
In 1998 we discarded enough cigarette waste to power 8,900 average American homes. 24 hours a day for an entire year. That potential energy is burried in a landfill forever.
San Jose International Airport has recovered a mega watt of energy
using the “Butts To Watts”® program
One megawatt of energy will charge 200,000 cell phones for an hour. Placed end to end, you’re looking at 19 miles of cell phones!
16,000 plastic micro fibers are in each filter!
